  My flesh bleeds red
As I cut lyrics in my skin
  I’m much more emotional
  Now than I’ve ever been
  My voice is gone
But the ones inside my head,
  They beg to be recognized
  But creativity’s dead.
  Still as I fight,
  My emotions waging war,
  Another’s words are empty
My soul’s crying out for more.
  Onto the page
  My hand spills infinite truth
  To control the conflict
Only my own words would do
  Peace settles in
  Lyrics resound in my heart
  My mental struggles transformed
  Into something called art.
