Alone In The Dark
Hiding, Constantly hiding.
They’ve run away,
Only to hide behind masks
And clothes as black as night.
Two of them,
Two of them are scared.
With a ying yang earring and necklace,
All they want is the peace,
That they never got to have.
Broken homes and abusive families,
All they seek is love.
BOW! Their bodies hit the ground,
After being struck by a father’s fist.
They hate themselves,
To themselves they are ugly, stupid,
And good for nothing.
But that’s not the worst of it.
They are abused in another way,
Not of physical harm.
Their hands go down
He makes them please him,
And they begin to cry.
So they run,
Run far away,
And find someone who doesn’t know
The struggles of their pain.
This girl doesn’t hide,
Or wear a mask at all.
But brings joy to all who draw near.
And gives hope to those in fear.
