His laughter was
the tinkling of wind chimes
on an unusually quiet
midsummer's eve
it broke the tension
it shattered the roaring din
of voices rising around him
He was beaming
like sunshine
he was God's angel
walking amidst the clouds
He was my father
and I will continue to love him
every day of my life
