Some Sort Of Poem For My Creative Writing Final
I just need to write a poem, I need to just sit down and do it.
The problem is everytime I sit down to write, I get other things on my mind,
most of the time they are random or stressful thoughts.
Like that I miss my pet guinea pigs from the fifth grade,
or that I have a show that is opening tomorrow and I don't feel even remotely ready.
I have too much in my life going on right now to write a decent poem,
a poem full of emotion and meaning.
Can’t I just write this in binary and pretend it’s good?
101001101
There how was that? Oh, and if anyone was wondering I just said the number 333.
I promise you I'm trying, my mind is just all over the place today.
Oh great! I swear this poem is going to be the death of me.
Because I’m a math geek,
I just used up almost the rest of my time trying to find all the known digits of pi.
I found one website with one hundred thousand digits.
I’m sorry, but as a math fanatic,
I get really excited about these kind of things.
You can’t tell, because this is a document,
but because I mentioned binary earlier,
I just took forty five minutes to look up information on binary.
Then made my own binary number chart for future reference.
Ugh, why can't I just sit down and write a poem already?
Usually this all comes so naturally for me.
Today I just cannot concentrate.
I want to go back and finish my binary number chart,
but I really need to get this poem done.
Can I just use this as my poem?
I’ll move the words around a bit,
cut the lines off every so often, and
BAM!
I give you a poem.
It’s no Robert Frost, but...
Hey it’s something, Right?
