I’m not perfect, with uneven facial hair and spider-hole remains left from blackheads on my nose. With a fake smile I show off like a pair of Jordans, wishing someone would notice. Not only notice but acknowledge my actions. Acknowledge that what I show on the outside is a mere fraction. A fraction of my pain, stress, and agony. Sure I can pretend to live happily. I am not complaining, that’s not what I meant. I am stating the problems of a high school student.

This was a poem written to describe the insecurities and struggles of a high school student.
