Religion in the 21st Century of Consumerism
I believe in the Big Bang.
I believe that somewhere, somehow,
Two bodies in a crowded supermarket
Fat as an old, lazy cat
Found each other and collided.
From that collision
Came everything we know today
Frozen pizza, chocolate bars, video games,
Canned greens, lima beans, tiremes of tirades tossed from fat lips
Swollen by chicken and grease.
