Who am I ?
I am the crisp white of a freshly pressed shirt--
not a single wrinkle, perfect and clean,
buttoned all the way to the collar, stainfree.
I am essential but not favored:
barely visible tucked behind a black suit,
the pages of a classic to boring to read.
But with a pen in my hand,I am bright red ink--
I splash emotion on every line,
tantalizing your senses and dragging you in.
I am a vibrant red:
Stained in my own way of perfection,
the gripping story you can't put down.
Which one is me?
I am whichever one I want you to see.
