Masking Emotions
They say
It never gets easier
but they also taught me to
stay strong and
hide
my unstable emotions;
that it is shameful to
let tears
gather in my eyes and
tread
down my cheeks
that the
closed off behavior is
unacceptable and
childish.
So tell me,
how am I supposed to be
expected to
heal
if you never give me the
opportunity to openly
grieve?
