“Don’t do it.” the angel whispers.
“You have to!” cries the devil.
“But it’s not right.” argues the angel.
“Who cares?” questions the devil.
Thoughts pacing.
“Should I?” he wonders.
30 minutes on the clock.
30 minutes until they come back.
“I promised I wouldn’t.”
“Just do it!” screams the devil.
The angel doesn’t say a word.
Shaky hands, sweaty palms.
“I have to.” he says.
He grabs the lighter and lights his last.
