I don't want to be another cautionary tale

Don't need people regarding my life as an epic fail 

I came in to this world kicking and screaming 

Got made fun of a lot for dreaming 

I want to reach for the stars and conquer the skies

Forget the pain in my heart and the tears in my eyes 

I needed to believe in myself, and not society's laws

Because I'm not a lost cause 

I believe that life is a chance for greatness, for hope and maybe a dance

The skies the limit, and I plan on exceeding it 

The world is mine and I will shine 

That's who I am, that's what I'll be, because this is me
