Where I'm From
I’m from the backyard adventures,
trying to catch hopping and flying insects.
(with rough, cut feet from dead grass)
From family time spent together on weekends,
arguing what we should do next.
To the Buzz Lightyear action figure,
near my side protecting me.
I’m from the “Are we there yet,”
while the kids cram in the back seat.
(with no room for any movements)
From painful decisions,
that cause self-inflicted injury.
To the multiplying dogs;
with enough hair to create several dogs.
I’m from the time consuming house decorations,
that change with the seasons
(down to the sent).
From family dedicated to work,
like baking perfected recipes.
To the kid I am,
ready for spontaneous adventures.

I thought it was a good idea to write a little bit about me and what shapped me into the person I am today.
