The Miracles of a Giant
Roots
The tongue of the tree
sucks nutrients throughout the veins.
Life pumps throughout the giant
sustaining a mighty force,
while twisting and twining throughout the soil.
Roots.
Roots.
Roots.
Bark
The armor of the tree stands in
layers sustaining life,
shielding the giant of the woods.
The dead tissue protects the host from harm,
killing and kicking intruders with malintent.
Bark.
Bark.
Bark.
Branches
The arms of the tree
reach towards the sky.
Raising its fingers high, the arm catches the sunlight shining down.
Branches stretch
holding bright green leaves as they glisten in sun.
Branches.
Branches.
Branches.
Trees
The giants of the forest
towers over all that it beholds.
Once a small seed
turns into the heartbeat of the forest.
Nourishing both itself and those around it
with only three key components.
