The Neighbor
Dear neighbor,
I hope you don't think lowly of me,
That I haven't brought a casserole over
On rainy Sundays,
That I haven't reached through the curtains
When you needed a hand.
I don't know how many times you've needed someone
To bring you casserole or a hand to hold,
However I wonder if you will laugh if
I show up at your door
with a measuring cup
And ask you for sugar.
