Bird in the Chimney MAG
Of lilac and linen, ivory and love,
My rough hands
Take hold. A dove
Of lilac and linen, ivory and love,
I wrest from the sooty doom above
And restore to airy lands.
Of lilac and linen, ivory and love,
My rough hands.

Second, I wonder how this ended up in the Free Verse category. I don't think I posted it there... it's a triolet.... Oh, who cares? I'm being silly.

Hello, this is Fayrouz. I really enjoyed this, it smelled like fresh laundry, very soft yet rough with the contrast of the flowers and air...and the rough hands. Keep writing and good job on getting published. I was published once, too. My poem is called Stealing Beauty From a Larkspur.
Keep writing!
