let's cycle through
the city's streets
with just us two
on adjacent seats.
let the air whiz by,
our lips ablaze,
let your hair fly behind,
as the night becomes day.
teach me how to dance,
i'll let you lead,
avoid looks of askance
when my nose starts to bleed.
and as the sun rises,
as if on cue,
we'll hop on our bicycle
made for two.
