Fearful

Hands clutched
Heart beater
Faster and faster
Tighter and tighter
Eyes watching
They ridicule
“Get over it”
Their silent hisses
As if the crowd
Wasn’t a crowd
As it is to them
I can’t imagine
Fearful of the surrounding
Palms are sweating
Tempted to break
Into a run
And go
Far away from here
Far away from their sneers
Fearful of the large croud
Staring
Gawking
They will never know
How fearful they are
To me
