WRITING WITH SORROW

I only write of sadness
Because happiness is not worth sharing
It’s the heartache that people want to read
To remind ourselves that we are not crazy
So for that reason, I write to validate people’s sorrows
Sadness is, in fact, an acceptable form of emotion
Whether it be grief, misery, anguish, or heartache
I write for others to read and relate.
