I am My Savior

God will save us, god will save you, god will save me
I’ve been told God is my savior, that prayer is all I need
A younger me believed
He prayed to god “please stop the bullying”
It got worse
A younger me believed
He prayed to god “please stop my parents from fighting”
It got worse
A younger me did not believe
He worked to make friends and find true family
It got better
God will not save us, god will not save you, god will not save me
I’ve been told God is my savior, that prayer is all I need
An older me no longer believes
