Where I'm From
I am from a foreign land,
a place that people look confused when you tell them the name.
Pool Road, where I ride around on a dump truck pretending and playing games.
I was young and experimental.
I am from a basement,
a place for storage and darkness, we turned it into our home at the age of two.
At the time I was lucky enough to have a roof and a hand me down shoe.
I was fortunate and thankful.
I am from Oconomowoc,
I learned how to play my favorite sport. Full days in the yard felt like a requirement.
I was figuring out how to apply my dad's “life lessons” with enjoyment.
I was hard-working and learning.
I am from Hartland,
where I trained, ready to take the world on,
using my dad’s advice to make me the best academically and athletically I can be.
I was ready and able.
I am now a captain of the team,
Using the team theme of “3”
Being the best player that I can be.
I am young, thankful, hard-working, and ready for the next challenge.
