Just Within Reach
We wander the face of the earth to find
The treasure enshrouded by fleeting time
But our coruscant jewel prevails
A lustrous star against a somber sky
Igniting us with a commanding desire
To hold what once was restrained by us
Alas, it is claimed by an unrelenting grasp
One that evades the past at every chance
Languidly, we are lulled into a trance
Of endless visions of ages ago
And pipe dreams of life yet to come
Because we were just within reach
