sinking.
I’m sinking
Ever so slowly
To the very blue
I never felt so lonely
This pain I can’t subdue
Hands bound in chains
The doomed path ahead
Happiness feigned
The thorn crown upon my head
I’m drowning
In my own imagination
They say our greatest fear
Is our own creations
As darkness spreads
Like a carnation
Doused in a bloody red
The shallow waves above
My conscience down below
The future is the anchor
That drags me low
I’m sinking
Ever so slowly
To the very blue
Alone
