I put on this mask like battle armor.
An armor of smiles and laughs and kindness.
Beautiful
But fake.
I put on this mask
To try to fit in,
To pretend
To be like everyone else,
To be normal.
I put on this mask
That drains me
That I am unable to bear any longer than I have to

Because while it is hard,
Trying to explain is harder.
Trying to explain when I don’t know how to,
Explain to people who wouldn’t understand.
