Green is the color of many a thing.
Green is that which I grow.
Green is that which I feel.
Green is that which I know.
Green is the color of the plants that I grow,
Of those plants which sprout from the seeds that I sow.
Singing that song forgotten by time,
Singing of parsley and sage, of rosemary and thyme.
Green is the color of the jealousy that I feel,
Of that witch of jealousy to which I kneel.
Jealous as I watch my peers having fun,
Jealous of those who can walk, of those who can run.
Green is the color of truths that I know,
Of those truths which can be less gift, and more woe.
Learning about the meanings of life,
Learning to deal with pain, to deal with strife.
Green is the color of many a thing.
Green is that which I grow.
Green is that which I feel.
Green is that which I know.
