Something Changed
Why do you act like you used to?
Something changed, something broke.
A touch that once sent sparks, not anymore.
Why do you act like nothing’s wrong?
Inside it’s not the same, there’s a riff.
A flirt that once caused a blush, not anymore.
Why do you act like we are the same?
A deviation from the path we were on.
A promise that once held hope, not anymore.
There’s nothing you can do.
It’s too late to fix this now.
Why didn’t you say it when I needed it?
I broke, I cried, we changed.
“I’m sorry”
Why didn’t you say it when you knew?
You were scared, you were worried, we changed.
“I miss you.”
Why didn’t you say it sooner?
I knew, it was obvious but we changed.
“I love you.”
A shame you never said it when you had me.
If you did, I would still be yours.
