Problems Disappearing

September 28, 2009
By Anonymous

my figure is dismembered
but my appearance is intact
i fear what i haven't remembered
and that is in the fact
my memory is disolving
in matter you cannot see
which is now involving
my heart and where it has to be
i remember nothing of my past
and who my family has to be
for none of my days ever last
for my friends never have to see
the truth is in my heart
that i never did know exist
to make my only art
which is coverd in the mist
the light is bright
to bright for my eyes
i see the beautiful night
and i say my last good byes
the next day will come
and i will have remembered nothing at all
even though the problems make me numb
these stone walls will someday fall

The author's comments:
every single person has a problem with themselves. it could be their appearance or any other problems that involve your own way to think about yourself. but there is no reason to dwell on that problem for there are always much worse cases for the people you may have just met,or someone who has been your best friend, or it could be someone that you may never know

Gerard Way: "Hey, girls, you're beautiful. Don't look at those stupid magazines with sticklike models. Eat healthy and exercise. That's all. Don't let anyone tell you you're not good enough. You're good enough, you are too good. Love your family with all your heart and listen to it. You are gorgeous, whether you're a size 4 or 14. It doesn't matter what you look like on the outside, as long as you're a good person, as long as you respect others. I know it's been told hundreds of times before, but it's true. Hey, girls, you are beautiful."

I love the message you're sending with this poem, and I also like how it's written and how it rhymes.

Even in our Darkest hour, we must always remember never to spare.

I enjoyed this poem. Your right. Everyone does have a problem that others may hold against them. That isn't right but that's how most people are these days. But yes great job.
