Two Lovers (When There is Love)
The two lovers of the wrong time
always falling down the mountain
As they tried to climb.
The two lovers, settling for separate fates,
Once in life, always too late.
Poison words bury this night away
Constantly leading the lovers astray.
You can see it in their eyes,
Their belief in heaven,
As they together die.
And the world watches them
As they bury their strife,
"When there is love," they whisper
"There is always life."
The two lovers fell
Down a stormy chasm of dreams,
They fell down a nightmare
They had already seen.
The two lovers waited for their ship,
Hiding the people's shame,
And during the winter they endured,
But the ship never came.
Poison words bury this night away
Constantly leading the lovers astray.
You can see it in their eyes,
Their belief in heaven,
As they together die.
As the world watches them,
As they bury their strife,
"When there is love," they whisper
"There is always life."
The two lovers broke
In a land of hate and doubt
And they knew it was love
They could not live without.
But the two lovers came out of their shell ...
And they found themselves
Waking up to a broken spell.
The shadow came to eclipse the day
And it ended up leading the lovers astray.
You can now see it in their eyes,
Their doubt of something more,
As their memories washed up
On a forgotten shore.
And the world watched them,
Through the hurricane's eye,
As they separately died.
And through the silence
They whispered their final words,
As they traveled up above,
"Never trust anyone," they said.
"Especially the thief called Love."
