Bullets shot across the sky
Leave the crowd wondering why?
What did he do?
Everyone pretends not to see
The bullet casings hitting the pavement
The blood spreading across the wall
The young kid falling to the ground
His life is fading fast
He wasn't strong enough to last
His mistake will be
The one to take his life
His mother runs to his side
And starts to cry
She knows it's too late
Her heart sinks
To this day she can't sleep at night
Knowing her child is dead
And the killer walks away
Without another word said
