You Eat Your Words, I'll Eat Mine
You eat your words I’ll eat mine
You serve your time, I’ll walk the line
You do whatever I’m just fine
You gave up and I’ve run out of time
Your chances came and they all went
My love was precious but you had it spent
Gave up on me on the halfway mark
Well I paid a price and it was my heart
You were the best actor I ever saw
I was the audience but you were the star
You had the lines down all up in your head
And I was clueless, believing all the lines you said
You eat your words I’ll eat mine
You serve your time, I’ll walk the line
You do whatever I’m just fine
You gave up and I’ve run out of time
Your explanations
Show concentration
On making me believe every lie
But you gave up inside
Trying to put on a show
Put your mask away, babe
I already know
I was angry I was hurt
You turned out to be the worst
I never guessed, how could I know
This was how it all would go?
And I’ll I have left to show
Is a broken heart and a torn up note
I sent one back and this is what I wrote
You eat your words I’ll eat mine
You serve your time, I’ll walk the line
You do whatever I’m just fine
You gave up and I’ve run out of time
