Wide Awake
I’m tired of sad songs
Broken melodies with the notes all wrong
Angelic tones in a minor key
None of that music will set us free
Tears aren’t glue for a broken heart
 A playback doesn’t count as a restart
The final note isn’t the end of the world
No more heart-broken banners to yet be unfurled
Life isn’t an opera landscaped in blues
If their heart doesn’t sing anymore for you
But if your love was tride and true
And my heart still beats only for you
If the words in our hearts were never fake
On plays the sad songs and I’m wide awake
