Jack and Meg walk down the street to reach her cheer. “Thank God that it is finally here, could hardly wait that long year. Now I can buy you that reindeer. But first I’d like to watch a film or two and just sit here with you. C’mon Jack turn to channel forty-two.”
“Meg you know that I love you but that stuff’s kind of corny. Why don’t we just leave town?”
“Cause’ you know that mother will be mad.”
“Well that just means go ask dad.”
“You know that it’s Christmas time in Detroit and tonight, I highly recommend Jack don’t get in a fight. Because there is happiness everywhere and a candy cane kid over there.”
“Oh well why don’t you take a look on at that. Sure I’m old and the snow is cold but it doesn’t matter when I’m with you. Because I look up at those bright white lights and I feel a little fright knowing that the year’s almost over. No more trees and no more parades in the park. All the family left, I put the fire out and now it’s pretty dark.”
