Eye of the Beholder
Iris of melancholy blue, lined
The eye of the Beholder, where beauty
Runs wild beneath the color, to the mind.
Segregation of societies ugly
And societies pretty, fails to last
In the sincerity of the mind within.
Appearance hidden below the soul, lost.
For he knows beauty is deeper than skin.
Facades visible as a meaningless
Necessity, viewed by his own vision.
To see beauty in all, his heart is blessed
By a captivity of compassion.
Look within the iris of melancholy blue,
The Beholders vision will consume you.
