I light a match to start the show
I watch the flames ebb and flow
I see the fire flicker and dance
I notice the ash and wind are a romance
The smoke is dispersing no need for alarms
The dust is allowed to glide in its arms
The air picks up the remains as it must
The drop zone being at the sunset at love lust
As it's in the sky burning to fight
As it knows the dark has to consume the light
It wanders far and wonders why
It then realizes that its fate is to die.
