Johnny Maxwell: Only You Can Save Mankind by Terry Pratchet
Johnny Maxwell:Only You can save mankind is the first book int the Johnny Maxwell trilogy. It is a great read about a boy named Johnny Maxwell. He has recently acquired a new video game from his friend, Wobbler. The concept of it is very simple; kill the ScreeWee aliens before they kill you. It was very enjoyable until one day he received a message. Not from a player but from the aliens who have surrendered. This one message leads Johnny into an action packed adventure. He learns that violence will not solve everything, but it must be used as a last resort. He also meets a new friend, who learns another lesson, a classic one. Winning isn’t everything. I really do recommend this book. Though it may seem a tad childish, it really is fun and eye opening. But do need read this if you want something completely serious, because this is a true mixture. With plot twists and lessons and even some wacky jokes, Johnny Maxwell was a fantastic read.
