Hatchet by gary paulson
Hatchet is one of the greatest books I have ever read. I enjoyed it because I learned some stuff I never know like learning some survival foods.
This story is about a boy named brain who gets lost going to see his father. He learns how to survive and stays alive for one year by himself. Then when hope is almost gone being rescued he remembered the tracker in the plane. So he decides to go get it but he forgot about the pilot who died.
I recommend this book to kids that like action, adventure, and survival books.
