A Child Called It
A Child Called “It” is one of the greatest books you could ever read. It's the type of book that you would want to read over and over again. After you read it I'm sure you will want to read other books by David Pelzer.
David's mother used to wear make-up, perfume, and looked fabulous, until she became an alcoholic. Then she became very abusive. His mom locked him in rooms, forced him to live in the basement, and even tried to poison him numerous times. She always abused David and never any of his brothers. She'd come up with almost impossible “games” and the prize would be food. If he lost he wouldn't eat.
A Child Called “It” was a #1 bestseller. After reading it, now I know why. This book is for people who like to read about abuse, and for people who have been abused.
