Brian Piccolo: A short season
A Short Season based on the life of Brian Piccolo a heart warming and saddening tale of the Chicago Bears lively fullback. He was a man that went through many ups and downs through his career yet always made the best of his 26 year old life. Leaving a lasting impression on all that he met and encountered.
Growing up he was a very athletic person. However not always considered great by his parents who were originally from Italy he played with great success many sports. As he got older he made the decision that ultimately changed his life he made football his first and only priority. He ended up at the University Of Wake Forest where he was the top rusher in the country. After failing to be drafted he ended up at the Chicago Bears. There although short is great career and goes on with an even bigger struggle. In the eyes of Brian he lived his life to the fullest and regretted nothing.
I recommend this book to anyone looking for a really touching story. I have never dealt with something like this in my life however through the first hand accounts of Brian through much of the book you are better able to understand and realize what really happens.
