The Lovely Bones
The lovely Bones by Alice Sebold is about a girl named Susie who gets murdered on her way home from school in the cornfield behind her school. Susie then goes to heaven and tries to help the people on earth find her killer. Her father believes he knows who his daughter's killer is, but no one believes him.
Susie's family is torn apart by the pain of not knowing who killed their daughter. Susie's mother drifts away from Susie's father and Susie' siblings become more dependent on each other. The killer escapes and is never to be found again and the investigator on the case feels like it is his fault.
I think this book is amazing the way the author writes is very descriptive and gives a lot of information about the characters to help you understand the story more. By the end of the book the author wraps up most of the loose ends and make you want to read more.
