Album review: Faces by mac miller
FACES BY MAC MILLER
The album "Faces" by Mac Miller was released on May 11, 2014 which features a variety of guest artists, including Rick Ross, Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, and more\
. The album is a compilation of several previously released songs, as well as some new material. It was released by Mac's record label REMember Music, and distributed by Warner Bros. Records. The album also features a different genre than his previous album, it explores more of hip hop, R&B and soul sounds.
The album is a reflection of Mac's life and experiences, and it provides a glimpse into his creative mind. In this album is a collection of raw, unedited, and unfiltered tracks that were recorded during various points in his career. The songs range from introspective and personal to upbeat and energetic, and they showcase Mac's ability to tell stories through his music.
One of my personal favorite tracks on the album is "Grand Finale," which features Mac's smooth flow and clever wordplay. This song is a reflection on how he's made peace with death and is aware that drugs are most likely going to be his fate. Another standout track I admire \- "Angel Dust" which is a deeply personal song that showcases Mac's addiction and the way these substances have affected his life and the way he itches for them.
The album is a must listen for fans of Mac’s art and for those who appreciate raw, authentic, and honest music. It is a fitting tribute to Mac Miller and his legacy, as a result it is a reminder of his incredible talent plus the impact he had on the music industry which I'd highly recommend.
