this happy forever
Jenna has never known anything but James. They were inseparable. She did not know whose hand she knew better, hers or his. Walking with him felt like they never had to be anywhere, she didn’t need a destination when hers was right next to her. She never thought that anything would change. And that would have been perfect.
Jenna’s hair was gusted up and around her face as she shrieked into the endless roads ahead of her. She pulled her head back into the car and looked over to see James glancing at her. Oh, to be this happy forever. With a generous hand, Jenna raised the volume on the music and started to sing along. Arms in the air, she belted the song. James attempted to sing along with her, swaying them along with the car. The song boomed out of every window and crevice of the car. “I LOVE YOU” Jenna shouted into the open air, staring at James. “I CAN'T HEAR YOU JEN” James leaned into her, stretching to hear. “I SAID, I LOVE-”. Jenna didn’t get to finish.
A Jeep with all the windows open and the sunroof down is not the safest car to be in.
If only they could be that happy forever.
