The Life I Lived
Dark blue jeans, ripped jacket she spoke for herself
Had a lot to say, not much was said.
No one ever there at night when she laid down her head
Mom long gone, dad had come and gone.
Open ended passes
Life moves to fast, to live in the past
Whatever happens, happens
Long nights out, overdose on the couch
Keep your feet on the ground; don’t bother looking around
Whatever happens, happens
Your stories only worth telling if it wants to be heard
Nights out on the town, turn into days
Buzzed feeling is starting to fade
Dark ally ways
Nothings ever dangerous, unless you feel that way;
I only live my way
Roses over daisies
We light up every day
When Friday roles around, we run and hit the town
Saturday hits us hard, kicked out of every bar
Pass out in the dark,
Fifty sense, and lighter, stolen in the park;
This is the life I lived.
