I can honestly say I do not know how to love people. My seemingly flawless methods only end in angst and broken pieces scattered aimlessly about. Trusting someone with your heart and soul is not how you love someone. It is how you end up with your own knife in your back. Giving someone everything you have to offer is not how you love them. It is how you are left in the dust empty handed though. Endless forgiveness is not how you love but how you become bruised from being walked on time and time again. Building someone up is not how you love them; it is how they tear you down piece by piece. If i am truly being honest I would say I know how to love people that do not love me back.
