He hears a noise while watching his favorite tv show

A cracking comes from upstairs,

then a loud bang with a crash following behind it.

He searches high and low, and perceives the noise upstairs.

He treads up the stairs oh so quietly, not even a bat could hear

He’s at the top of the steps,

There!

The apparition was pounding his head on the wall; thump, thump, thump And, ever so softly, whispered;

”Come near and trouble will seek.”

Then, as he slowly crept near,

The spirit turned a gnarled head towards the man,

And quicker than a striking snake, out shot a hand

The man’s beating heart was no more in his chest

Organs squeezed

Until blood spatter was cast upon the smallest portion of wall.
