My short story is about a little girl named Katie. She has no family and lives in an orphanage in England. One day while she is out taking a walk she finds a homeless dog and instantly falls in love with him. They spend a lot of time together and go everywhere with each other. Katie decides to name the dog Rusty. He is the best friend that she has ever had. So the day when he is kidnapped she feels hopeless, but she knows she can't just let the dog stealers get away with it. She has a newfound hope to find the poor dog and rescue him from the crooks. So she goes on an adventure and finds Rusty. The 'bad guys' are arrested and Katie and Rusty are united again.
