Schoolyard Games
The glares, laughter, words
Slice through my weak barriers
Their venom burning through my veins,
Don’t they see the damage they reap?
Broken and bleeding
I stumble through the hallways.
A prison I’m forced into from birth.
The older we get,
The more creativity pours into their scheming minds.
Again I ask, can’t you see,
What it is you’re doing to me?
It’s been years now.
I feel it’s never ending.
Permanently marred.
Scarred wrists, and scarred heart.
I’m lost forevermore.
Who am I?
Am I who you say I am?
Those accusations that run through my mind,
Is that truly me?
It must be, as it is unanimous.
What has become of me?
