As I read "Amy"'s "Why I Need to Go to College," I thought about the many kids and teens, including myself, that can relate to her story. My parents have also "sacrificed too many things for me to achieve the "American Dream."" She mentions her mother working countless hours to support her which reminds me of my mother who is a single mother as well. Both of my parets have done everything they could for me to succeed, so I won't have to struggle the way they have. "Amy" explains how her mothers lifetime of sacrifices can be recompensed in "just four to six years." I also feel that the least I can do for my mom is to graduate with a degree in order to demonstrate to her that all her effort was not in vain. Thank you, "Amy," for opening up and sharing a story that numberless teens  of immigrants can relate to.
