They say that you should be yourself; but when you are, they cry, “Fie! Be gone, freak!”
They tell a girl that she’s not pretty unless she looks a certain way; what a joke.
They promote anti-bullying and positive messages, but they turn around and smash them.
And they wonder why the world has gone mad. They wonder why the rivers run red and the sea is made of glass.
Everyone has their demons to face. Some are defeated, others win. The victors are always the ones on the wanted list; the ones who haunt them at night, because we dared to fight.
To them we are the fallen; creatures who shouldn’t exist.
