Unexpected Things About High School

The most unexpected thing about highschool for me, was being able to fit in and make friends. I know it sounds cheesy but it is true. I thought I would be alone but I have made some great friends and joined my schools marchning band. My mom told me that some of her best friends were made in high school. At first i didn't believe her but then I started making great friends and fitting right in like I had a place all along.
