Summary:

Carter and his family check into the Anderson Cancer Center for the last time. This is the last attempt that will be made to remove his brain tumor. Carter is a miserable human being. He believes that because the cancer has ruined him from the inside out, that he is worthless. Carter is ugly inside and out. That is, until he meets Bay. At first, Carter can't stand Bay. She is nosy and obnoxious, but she isn't afraid of him. Bay is not turned off by Carter's rough exterior, in fact, it's just the opposite. They fall in love, all the while, cancer tearing Carter apart. While Bay has proved to be an angel of ever present light, will it be enough to defy fate? Can a love as strong as Bay and Carter's beat death?
