Swings and Fun MAG

By Anonymous

As kids we all played on swings
The smooth black seat made of rubber
withbird droppings on the other side
was the best place to sit
We playeddifferent games
the spider, the cradle
Jumping off the swings was acontest
against the playground rules
The screeching chains pinchedfingers
tarnished where our hands held on
always making that awfulsqueak
We flipped the swing over the bar as we got taller
Twisting untilthe two chains were one tangled mess
Screaming, "Get out of mybathroom!"
when we would swing nsync
It's all childish now
It's thesame swing
black rubber seat
with bird droppings
The same screeching,squeaking chains
piercing sounds
but you are different
You have moreimportant things to do
English homework. Sports. Friends
Swings don't seemlike fun anymore
Swings are still fun
You just don't know it

haha, strangely I love this. it's like exactly how I grew up with the jumping contests and throwing the chain around the top. funny:)
