O High School Janitor
O, high school janitor:
I wonder what you think about when you lean against the wall.
Do you think about this weekend as you fold up the lunch tables?
Do you think about steroids and baseball as you sweep up the dead rat?
Do you tire of standing around, cleaning lunch tables, and catching rats?
O, high school principal:
I wonder what you think about when you stand in the cafeteria, giving funny looks.
Do you think about your paycheck as you apprehend the dress code violator?
Do you suspect foul play when the same fluorescent light bulb burns out twice?
Do you enjoy standing as a sentinel, a paragon of scholastic justice and funny looks?
O, high school delinquent:
I wonder what you were thinking when you put on pants that don’t fit.
Do you think about how cool you are as you walk awkwardly to hold up your pants?
Do you think about immersion into a foreign culture as you eat your taco salad?
Do you even know that you’re a hollow-headed and vapid symbol of human ignorance?
O… high school cafeteria.
